Keeping Students Safe: Crime Prevention at Freshers Fair

As students take their first steps into university life, safety and wellbeing remain a key priority for both students and their families.

Recently, we joined forces with the London Metropolitan Police, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Licensing Team, and Northeastern University London to deliver a crime prevention roadshow at the Freshers’ Fair.

The event provided new students with practical advice on keeping themselves and their belongings safe, covering topics such as phone marking, awareness around drink spiking, and tips on personal safety. By equipping students with knowledge and confidence, the initiative helps them settle into university life while offering reassurance to families.

We extend our thanks to everyone involved in making the event a success, with particular appreciation to the St. Katharine Docks estate management team for supporting the day with venue space and additional security.
