FOR OUR CURRENT VACANCIES ON OUR JOB BOARD
My team started with Unitrust in August 2021 and right from the start we felt like we had joined a forward-thinking company. There have been a number of challenges during this period but I have always felt that the company is able to provide the right kind of support and resources to meet these challenges head on.
It's particularly impressive to see Unitrust management take an interest in their employees and look to develop people and advance their careers, as this is not always the case at other security companies.
I look forward to a long, happy, productive relationship with the company.
Damian Conrad, Security Manager
UNITRUST CAREER PATHWAY
In the past four years, we invested in excess of £150k in staff training and our budget continues to grow as we add new members to our team. It is a significant investment but one we are fully committed to and is at the heart of the core values of our business.
Each new employee has SIA License Linked Training (LLT) to assess knowledge and address any gaps. Our Training, Learning & Development strategy starts at induction including training on health & safety, customer service, equality and diversity, dress/etiquette and more. This is the start of Unitrust’s Career Mapping Pathway.
We offer the following training via:
• Unitrust online training platform (from conflict management to sexual harassment modules)
• More than 6,500 CPD hours logged this year (15h per employee)
• ACT Awareness
• ACT Security
• H&S courses eg IOSH
• Professional qualifications
• Classroom courses for line management eg HR
• Onsite ‘toolbox talks’ by Site Managers
• Workshops with organisations eg suicide negotiation by the City of London Police
• Partnership with City of Westminster College
• Newsletters and other email updates with advice, updates and links for further information.
We make sure that everyone on our team is clear on how to improve and progress, with regular appraisals and assessments of their Personal Development Plans. Wherever possible it is our goal to promote from within and we have many examples of this in our business. Our belief is that additional skills, benefit both our team and our clients and help us retain our vision of always providing the highest standards of security.
