UniTrust Supervisor Wins BSIA Award

Kim McCarron, UniTrust Supervisor at BNP Paribas Moorgate was nominated for the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) 2014 award for “Service to the Customer” and in January 2014, Kim was awarded the title of the Regional winner for the London region. She was then entered in the National awards against other regional award winners throughout the UK and in July Kim won the National Award at the prestigious BSIA Lunch held at the London Hilton on Park Lane in London.

Kim has worked at BNP Paribas premises for the past 6 years. It was obvious from the outset that she was an exceptional individual with not only an extensive knowledge of the building but also of the staff members who worked there. As the Supervisor, she has made the job her own and endeavoured to make the security team’s role a more encompassing function within the overall facility function of the building.

Kim is proactive, efficient and resourceful and it is these characteristics that the BNP Paribas staff have grown to rely on in the day to day functioning of the building. Everyone knows her by name and she is the reference point for not only security matters but many others as well.

Kim has recently become part of the Women in Security group through her involvement in the City Of London Crime Prevention Association. This group is formed in an effort to promote women within the security industry and this is an opportunity for her to enhance and develop her role at BNP Paribas.

Kim has added value to the level of service by displaying a positive outlook and proactive attitude to customer feedback, company standards and changing client requirements. This has been achieved by demonstrating the ability and willingness to adapt and continuously strive to improve on the levels of excellence required when balancing effective security procedures and bespoke customer care. Kim has also added value to the level of service by consistently maintaining good relations with the client, their staff and the visitors to the building. Her extensive site knowledge and professionalism provides the building occupants with a valuable point of reference and continuity in a challenging and continuously evolving environment.
