Well done to Darryl for investigating a maintenance contract to discover that the supplier was not fulfilling the terms and conditions which resulted in a financial recovery for our client of £2000.

Valerijs Trifonovs at Cheval Three Quays
A big well done to Valerijs after he spotted a leak and persevered in having this investigated. It transpired to be a major leak affecting several floors and guest rooms. His quick reactions out of hours prevented major damage. He is also very proactive in his duties overall, such as gathering evidence like CCTV footage evidence of potential issues for the client.

Robert has covered many shifts in the absence of others, he has put himself out there and also put his body on the line to make sure we are fully manned. Thanks and appreciation for his assistance during this busy period.
Fahad has shown great willingness to cover day shifts when needed. It has also been recognised that he has a proactive approach when called upon by tenants and contractors.
Omar has been very proactive in providing assistance and guidance to client at Cheval Three Quays. He has been in contact with the local Police Counter Terrorism Unit and organised a Christmas safety briefing for the staff and also produced a security risk survey report for Stephen which has been sent onto the client.

Rehan Mahmood was very proactive in detecting and managing a major leak where the mains incoming water pipe gave way in New Loom House tank room on Sunday 1st & 2nd August. The end result could have been a lot worse if Rehan had not heard the water noise at reception and traced it to its source.
Rashid Mushtaq noticed and escalated a fire in a public bin directly outside the main entrance. Both Rashid and Alfons Veslinovic responded quickly in dealing with the fire, thus preventing the smoke from activating the building evacuation, as well as protecting public property.

Sabina Morgan has shown exceptional ability in handling a very difficult situation on site. She ensured that a member of the public did not gain unauthorised access to her premises.
In addition, Sabina worked exceedingly well during an actual fire incident at 114a on Friday 31st July 2015, she handled this very calmly and swiftly and this was noted by CPML, LFB and staff members.
This situation was handled very well with professionalism as she was lone working at the time. Sabina is a real asset to the team!

A job well done to David Bailey this month for his keen observational skills which resulted in the detection of how a tenant at 140 Brompton Road was losing high value delivery items via courier. David observed the delivery in progress and notified the tenant of the delivery which did not make it to the tenants floor. Further investigation, David found empty packaging hidden in the building relating to the delivery and assisted the tenant in reporting the loss.

Robert Konarski is always willing to help out on his days off, always stating that he does not want to leave his colleagues or site down. He is a strong and steady officer, for whom no task is too big or small. He has assisted us greatly over the past few months even covering other Contract Manager’s sites. He is truly an asset to the Company, keep up with the excellent work.

Waldemar Szostak has shown consistent performance at Wembley Point. In one instance he stopped an aggressive visitor from accessing the building even after being subjected to verbal and physical assault he remained calm and professional at all times and dealt with the matter swiftly.

During a site emergency there was a complete loss of power in the whole site resulting in major disruption. This affected all systems and sprinkler systems which were activated in key areas externally. The site entrance barrier had to be dismantled in order to allow people to leave and Richard Bell stayed on after his shift to assist. Richard, well done for providing invaluable help to remedy the situation during emergencies on site, not only once but on numerous occasions. During this time he engaged in the situation with enthusiasm and without objection, making no attempt to leave until he was sure there was no assistance required.
We would also like to say a very well done to Barrie Jones in assisting with the power outage. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Alfons Veslinovic has stepped in as a Team Leader, changing his normal shift pattern and assisting the Site Manager and Supervisor in implementing the changes required with the move to the new building, working additional hours as required. his interpersonal and customer service skills, when dealing with staff and VIPs alike, have really stood out and been noted by the UniTrust Management as well as the High Commission staff.

Val Avkhimovitch works as a Utility Officer as well as covering Duty Manager duties on a regular basis. He is able to use his own initiative and has been required to on various occasions. All his input at Ops Meetings is appreciated, dealing with an issue at night post at a German Embassy event and covering Chesham Place which is a very demanding affair, Val is able to take it all in his stride. Kim McCarron, UniTrust Supervisor at BNP Paribas Moorgate was nominated for the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) 2014 award for “Service to the Customer” and in January 2014, Kim was awarded the title of the Regional winner for the London region. She was then entered in the National awards against other regional award winners throughout the UK and in July Kim won the National Award at the prestigious BSIA Lunch held at the London Hilton on Park Lane in London.Employee of the Month June 2014

Abdul assisted a guest to their room only to find that it was still occupied. Abdul dealt with the situation and went above and beyond his remit as a Security Officer to ensure that the room was ready to be occupied. Abdul has been given a certificate and a £25 voucher in appreciation of his work.
BSIA Award Winner
We are pleased to announce that Kim McCarron (Manister), our UniTrust Supervisor at the BNP Paribas building in the City has been awarded the British Security Industry Association award for “Service to the Customer” for the London region.
Kim was nominated for this award by Paul Harding, BNP Paribas, Premises and Facilities Manager and we would like to thank him for his support with Kim’s nomination application.
On the 11th of March 2014, Trevor Elliott, the BSIA Director of Manpower and Membership presented Kim with her framed certificate in front of Paul Harding of BNP Paribas, Paul Griffin, UniTrust Managing Director and Karl Sullivan, UniTrust’s Contract Manager for the BNP premises.
Trevor stated, “Kim was nominated for the award by her managers in recognition of her professional attitude and commitment to her role

Kim will now be put forward to the national judging phase of the awards, which will take place over the coming weeks and culminate in a glittering awards ceremony held at the BSIA’s Annual Lunch in London on July 16th. Good luck, Kim!

UniTrust have for years acknowledged our employees through our Employee of the Month awards publicised in our Company Employee newsletter. In recognition of an outstanding individual, we decided to establish an Employee of the Year award and the inaugural winner is Mohamed Halouane who works for us at Canada House in Trafalgar Square. Mohammed is a charming individual who is well liked by all who work at Canada House but he maintains a strict security protocol at the premises. There have been many commendations from staff, visitors and dignitaries attending Canada House, as a result of his work. Mohamed was presented with an engraved glass trophy by Ian Yexley and Robert Mangei and a £250.00 award in front of UniTrust Head Office staff, our client David Ridley and his team and some of Mohamed’s co-workers.
Scott Gough, UniTrust’s Operations Manager, competed in the charity race, Challenger Scotland Coast to Coast Endurance to raise money for Combat Stress. This is a very worthwhile charity that specialises in the treatment and support of British Armed Forces Veterans who have mental health problems.
Scott completed his challenge in 12hrs and 4 minutes and came in the top 25% of finishers out of 486. He raised an amazing £5258 for Combat Stress, exceeding his goal of £5000.
